Payments
Payment Types and Processing
Single and Bulk Payments (Domestic and International)
With softcash, you can securely and efficiently process both single and bulk payments. These payments can be made to domestic and international recipients. Bulk payments consolidate multiple transactions into a single step, while single payments are recorded individually.
Standing Orders
Single payments can be set up as standing orders on request to process regular payments automatically. This saves time and significantly reduces manual effort.
File Format
All payments are transmitted in the pain.001 format (according to the ISO 20022 standard), ensuring high compatibility with banking systems. This guarantees fast and seamless processing of your transactions.
Planned
Direct Debit Procedure
Direct Debit Procedures Domestic and International (LSV+, BDD, and SEPA-DD)
softcash supports the Swiss direct debit procedures LSV+ (Direct Debit) and BDD (Bank Direct Debit), as well as the SEPA direct debit scheme (SEPA-DD). These procedures enable you to collect payments directly from your customers’ accounts while ensuring a high level of automation and security.
File Format
Direct debit orders are transmitted to the bank in the pain.008 format (according to the ISO 20022 standard), ensuring reliable and secure processing of the direct debit instructions.
Status and Error Messages
To ensure transparency in payment processing, softcash processes automated status and error messages in the pain.002 format (according to the ISO 20022 standard) provided by banks. These messages inform you about the processing status of each transaction and enable faster error resolution in case of issues.
Analyses
Bank Messages
Electronic Account Statements (camt.053)
Based on camt.053 files, you can view daily account statements with finalized transactions. This information provides detailed insights into daily account movements and helps you track the status of your cash flows for each banking relationship.
Booking Notifications (camt.054)
The camt.054 files provide detailed information about individual bookings, such as direct debits or credits. They are ideal for tracking single bookings and their status, helping you understand which transactions have actually been executed. An example includes QR debtor payments.
E-Documents
softcash enables the automated retrieval of e-documents provided by your banks as PDFs. These documents—such as account statements, contracts, or notifications—are stored within the system and made available to you centrally.
Account Statement
With the account statement feature in softcash, you can generate a detailed statement for each account over a customizable period. The statement displays the opening balance, closing balance, and all transactions within the selected timeframe. This function provides a precise overview of all account movements and supports you in tracking and reconciling your financial data.
Account Overview
The account overview in softcash provides a centralized and comprehensive view of all your company’s bank accounts, regardless of the entity or bank where they are held. You can group accounts by various criteria such as entities, currencies, banks, and account types. Multi-level grouping is also supported, enabling flexible and detailed analysis of your financial data.
The account overview offers you:
- Transparency across all accounts: You receive a complete overview of all accounts within your corporate structure, including their balances, transactions, and pending payments.
- Flexible grouping: Take advantage of the ability to group your accounts by any criteria to perform customized analyses. For example, you can create groupings by entity and currency or by account type and bank.
- Graphical representation: In addition to the tabular view, you can also visualize your financial data graphically. This facilitates the analysis of complex financial flows and supports informed decision-making.
Banks
Direct Connection via EBICS
Via EBICS (Electronic Banking Internet Communication Standard), the softcash Cash Management module enables secure and efficient communication with a wide range of banks.
You can connect banks using both EBICS 2.5 and the newer EBICS 3.0 version, offering you maximum flexibility.
Additionally, softcash supports data processing in the ISO 20022 format, including the 2013 and 2019 versions, ensuring seamless integration with modern banking systems.
Below is a selection of banks that can be connected directly to softcash via the EBICS standard. Of course, all other EBICS-compatible banks can also be connected.
SWIFT Service Bureau & Data Providers
On one hand, connection via a SWIFT service bureau is possible. However, this requires the customer to have their own BIC. In this setup, banks are connected to the SWIFT service bureau, which then provides the bank data to the customer.
An alternative is provided by data providers, who do the same but do not require the customer to have their own BIC.
Multibanking Solutions
In SWIFT multibanking, the primary bank provides the data of an international third-party bank to the customer via SWIFT under the customer’s contract.
On one hand, the primary bank must offer multibanking services. On the other hand, a contract and technical connection via SWIFT must exist between the primary bank and the third-party bank.
Manual Data Exchange
The camt.052 / camt.053 / camt.054 or MT940 / MT942 files are downloaded from the data source (bank, Wise, Revolut, etc.) and then imported into softcash.
